- Struggling up every incline, gasping for air while others pass you by?
- Nursing sore knees and aching muscles for days after a hike?
- Watching your dream hikes slip away because you never felt ready?
- Missing out on the joy of exploring new trails due to fear of injury?

What's in-store for you in Moving Mountains PT™?
Hikers asked these questions before joining Moving Mountains Personal Training™ and reaching their peak:
How does Mountain Fitness training differ from regular exercise?
Mountain Fitness training is rooted in mountain experience. This will help you move uphill faster, navigate rocky terrain, and move downhill without any pain. All with a heavy backpack on. For as long as necessary.
The same way Olympic weightlifters base their training on Olympic lifts. - Mountain Fitness training is based on the way we move in the mountains.
In Moving Mountains PT™ we take this one step further by looking at the specific adventure goals you have in mind. Training for Mt Stuart is different than training for the Grand Canyon. So to increase your odds of success, your plan is made to overcome the exact challenges that you are aiming to take on.
What would a typical plan look like for me?
Training plans vary from person to person based off of goals, history, and fitness test results.
The training objective in the beginning is to get the body well. The objective at the end is to have your body fresh, ready, and prepared for the challenges you'll face.
Most training involves a good mix of strength/mobility days and cardio days, with the exact training split depending on the current training phase and abilities of the client.
I don't have a ton of time to focus on training. And I travel a lot. Can this still work for me?
Yes! We will adapt your plan 100% to your schedule and preferences.
A core principle at Moving Mountains PT™ is to "Work With What You Have." That's why we start by making the most of your current time you have available before considering adding more training to your schedule.
Training equipment and location is also taken into account. Whether you have gym equipment or prefer training at home, you can always get exercise alternatives from your coach so you can train wherever you want with whatever you have.
How does the personal training work if it's online? Do I have to record all of my workouts?
Moving Mountains PT™ delivers everything you need in one app so you can train on your own time wherever you are.
The app has your training schedule, workouts, demos, and instructions. It also has a 24/7 messaging platform with your coach, whom you can book a call when you need.
Your role is to log your training results and notes in the app. This lets your coach adjust your training for next week and the rest of your program.
Recording yourself isn't ever required, but it may be suggested if you're having trouble with specific exercises so that you can receive critique and improve.
What do your best clients have in common?
Over the years I've noted 2 key traits among my most successful clients.
1- They have a clear adventure goal in mind that they want to aim for every year.
2- they are ready to make changes in their life because they truly want to achieve those goals.
If you're unsure of your goals, it's hard to find the drive to move forward. So if you want to be successful, make sure you know clearly what problems you want to address and what goals you want to aim for.
What if I hate the training plan you give me?
I continually upgrade and modify your training based off your needs and preferences so you can make progress. Piece by piece your training plan becomes uniquely your own and optimized for your success. And I do that with the help of your feedback.
That doesn't mean you get to avoid the hard stuff -we can't cheat success. But it does mean that together we'll craft an approach to your mountain training that you enjoy and that ensures success on your adventures.
